After five years in business, we outgrew that retail space and moved to our current location on Military Avenue in Green Bay. Meet Our Team

Brenda Kilheffer - Owner

How long have you been with Tie the Knot? Since we opened our doors on December 1, 2006.

How did you get into the bridal industry? My daughter, Allison, had worked in bridal stores throughout college and she told me one day we would have our own store. I started the bridal store and my daughter now owns her own business, Sash and Bow.

What is your favorite part about owning Tie the Knot? Seeing the brides emotions when she finds the dress of her dreams. We give brides a champagne toast when they find their dress and its very rewarding personally to see the happy celebration!

Best advice? Be true to you! You know how you feel in a dress. No one can tell you how you feel!

Tell us about yourself!  I love to travel to warm weather destinations. There's something about an abundance of sunshine and a beautiful beach that just calms me.

Ashley - Manager

How long have you been with Tie the Knot? A little over 7 years!

How did you get into the bridal industry? I have always loved weddings, so I started working for Sash and Bow, which is a local wedding planning company owned by Brenda's daughter, Allison. That led me to Tie the Knot and I have been here ever since.

What is your favorite part about being a bridal consultant? Helping a bride find confidence and feel fantastic! The moment when a bride finds the right dress and feels more beautiful than ever is so rewarding! I love being a part of it!

Best advice? Trust your instincts! Finding your dream gown is an emotional process, so trust whatever your heart is telling you.

Tell us about yourself! I love music, specifically musical theater. I was very involved in music through high school and college and still love to see as many shows as possible.

Whitney - Bridal Consultant

How long have you been with Tie the Knot? Just over 5 years.

How did you get into the bridal industry? I've always loved weddings; my favorite part was always getting to see what the bride was wearing. After watching "Say Yes to the Dress" for years, I thought it would be really fun to work as a bridal consultant. I was right!

What is your favorite part about being a bridal consultant? I love getting to know the brides and their stories. I love hearing how they met their fiance and fell in love - it is so fun being part of something so important to the bride!

Best advice? Don't settle! You know what you want and what you like, so don't settle on a gown that you don't love. This is your big day - you should feel stunning in what you choose!

Tell us about yourself! I love all things dance! I coached a high school dance team in my hometown for 9 years and was on that team when I was in high school. It is one of my favorite things!

Tess - Bridal Consultant

How long have you been with Tie the Knot? 5 years

How did you get into the bridal industry? I went to a wedding with the owner and ended up with a job!

What is your favorite part about being a bridal consultant? Getting to see the new dresses and trends each season and helping brides find "the one!" It is so much fun!

Best advice? Be open to try on all different styles because you just might be surprised with what you end up liking once you have it on. It happens all the time.

Tell us about yourself! I like to try cooking new recipes and watching the Food Channel!

Renee- Bridal Consultant

How long have you been with Tie the Knot? Almost a year!

How did you get into the bridal industry? I have always loved wedding dresses - Say Yes to the Dress is frequently on at our house! When I was looking to pick up a second job, I knew this was the industry I wanted to be in!

What is your favorite part about being a bridal consultant? Watching brides facial expressions when they find their dress - it is such an amazing feeling helping brides find a dress they feel beautiful and confident in!

Best advice? All of the dresses are pretty, but you need to find your dress! Don't settle if it doesn't give you the "feels!"

Tell us about yourself! I have a passion for working with kids with autism in my full-time career. And I am a huge Colts fan!
