| FAQ’s Congratulations on your engagement! As a bride-to-be, this is an exciting time in your life with decisions and a to-do list that can seem overwhelming. At Tie The Knot Bridal Boutique, we would love to assist you and make this a memorable and happy time. Do I need to make an appointment? Appointments are required for brides and bridesmaids. This will ensure you receive one-on-one time with a bridal consultant. Most appointments run about 90 minutes. During this time, we will register you, select bridal and/or bridesmaid gowns and accessories to try on, review color charts, take measurements, and review ordering time. This is a special time for the bride and her bridal party and we want to make it fun and relaxing. How long will it take to order a gown? Ordering time is dependent upon the designer of the gown. We recommend ordering your bridal gown approximately 7-9 months before the wedding date. For bridesmaids and mother’s dresses approximately 5-6 months. Most designers offer “rush delivery” for an additional charge, if needed. Can I purchase a gown from your stock? Yes. We offer gowns to be purchased immediately or by ordering. We pride ourselves on customer service and look forward to serving you whatever your needs are. Will my gown need alterations? Most bridal gowns, bridesmaids and mother’s dresses will need some alterations. Although measurements are taken, the gown is not custom made to order. Measurements are taken on everyone and are matched to size charts provided by the gown manufacturers. The size of the gown ordered is selected by closely matching your measurements to the size charts. Do you have an alterations department on-site? We do not have an alterations department. We refer our customers to very qualified seamstresses that have 15 or more years experience in the bridal industry. Allow approximately 4-6 weeks for alterations. You will want to call for an appointment as soon as your gown arrives to ensure you have adequate time to meet with the seamstress and schedule fittings. Can I purchase a dress I saw at your store on the internet? Most of the designer styles we carry are not available on the internet. We have tried to choose designers that uphold values of traditional bridal salons; those values being customer service, one-on-one consulting, follow-up after the sale, and a company guarantee that your gown will have the quality and craftsmanship you deserve. If you do find a gown on the internet that we carry, you may want to not only check the price but what is included in the sale over the internet. There may be extra shipping and miscellaneous charges. Also, what if your dream gown is the wrong size, color, or style? Will the internet company guarantee anything? Will you have time to order another gown? At Tie The Knot Bridal Boutique, we work hard to ensure your gown will be perfect and we have the relationship with the manufacturer to resolve any problems that may arise. Can I cancel an order or return a gown purchased from your store? Due to the nature of the bridal industry and the manufacturing guidelines we have to follow, unfortunately, once a gown is ordered, it is non-refundable. Do you require full payment upon ordering a gown? We require one-half down payment at the time of the order on all gowns and accessories. We understand there are numerous expenses when planning a wedding and this policy will allow you to make other pertinent purchases. Payment in full will be required within 30 days of receiving the gown in our store. What if I have bridesmaids that can’t come to your store to be measured? Out-of-town bridesmaids can be measured at any bridal store. We will accept their measurements either by phone or email. Please remember, we will need the 50% down payment to order. What forms of payment do you accept? We accept cash, checks with proper ID, and credit/debit cards by Visa, Mastercard, and Discover. Can I bring a camera and take pictures of dresses I like? No, due to copyright reasons outlined by our manufacturers, pictures are not allowed. How soon should tuxedos be ordered? You will want to order tuxes approximately 2 months prior to your wedding date. Measurements will need to be taken so it is important to let the men know to come in by a certain date. Again, if there are out-of-town groomsmen, they can go to any bridal store or men’s formalwear store to get measured. What is included in a tuxedo rental? A tuxedo rental includes the coat, shirt (includes button covers and cuff links), vest, tie, and trousers. Extras that may be purchased are shoes, pocket squares, suspenders, and hats. A pair of socks is included with any shoe rental. (This will avoid that last trip to the store the morning of your wedding.) Do you require a down payment for tuxedo rentals? We require a $25 down payment which is applied to the rental price of the tuxedo. When do tuxedos need to be returned? Tuxes need to be returned by Monday evening so we can ship them to the rental company in a timely manner. You must return the coat, shirt (button covers and cuff links), vest, tie, trousers, and shoes. Pocket squares, suspenders, and hats are purchased and may be kept. |
